MIKE RIDER
MIKE RIDER left the Royal Marine Commandos in 2002 having served mainly with 42 Commando he was involved in various operational tours of Northern Ireland through to interventions into Sierra Leone. Mike’s commercial management skills were gained during continuous service within the Middle East operating and managing various high profile projects, including parts of the US Department of State “Future of Iraq” project in post war Iraq.
Mike’s career has been dominated by risk and security management in all its forms at the operational level he is a former Director of a UK Risk Management company who specialise in protecting people, assets and infrastructure, primarily in the area of Internal Security and Counter Terrorism and at the strategic level he has specialised in protecting current and future organisational capability.
Mike holds a Master’s degree in Business Continuity, Security and Emergency Management from Buckinghamshire University, he was awarded the ‘Freedom of the City’ of London in 2014 by recommendation.
